Okay, fine, this may not be the healthiest dessert to have...but being dairy-free, I surely miss sweets that I would just pick up in the supermarket or at the gas station...like Snickers. So, here's the recipe 😄...
...And if you do choose to indulge and treat yourself by making these delicious bars, HAVE FUN!

Ingredients
-2 cups pitted dates, firmly packed
-1 cup salted nuts of choice ( I used salted peanuts )
-1/2 cup nut or seed butter of choice ( I used peanut butter )
-1/2 cup sticky sweetener of choice (eg. maple syrup, agave nectar)
-1/2 cup coconut oil (Optional)
-1-2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Combine your dates and salted nuts into a high-speed blender or food processor. Pulse until a thick batter remains.
2. Transfer batter to a lined 8 x 8-inch or bigger loaf pan and press firmly in place. Refrigerate.
3. Using a microwave or stove-top, prepare your caramel by melting your nut/seed butter with maple syrup and coconut oil until a silky texture remains. Pour the caramel over the snickers base and refrigerate or freeze until firm.
4. Once firm, melt your chocolate chips and pour over the top. Refrigerate or freeze until firm. Once firm, cut into bars and enjoy!
